LITERATI

A project commissioned by Literati for their fall book fair. Literati is a company that organizes childrens book fairs every half year. I had to honor to illustrate one about the theme of 'Crack the Case!' I had a lot of fun with this, I love working with a theme, where I can let my imagination flow. For this I had to design a hero image, featuring some kid detectives, some scenes and some spot illustrations. The scenes and spots are meant for the book fair itself, where the children that visit are themselves now the detectives! As an extra bonus I added an actual mystery into these illustrations. I really like having a story to hold on to while illustrating, so to get the clues and locations consistent, I made up a Scooby-doo like story of a haunted mansion (or is it...?). The mystery is actually solvable if you look closely enough to all the details. It was a joy to illustrate this!
