TROUW BEST OF THE YEAR

At the end of 2024, Misja Steinmetz from Trouw invited me to illustrate for their annual Best of List featured in the Tijdgeest magazine. I created a series of small spot illustrations and the cover for the magazine. Each spot illustration represented one of the year's top lists, covering categories like the best books, films, podcasts, and more. It was a joy to design a cohesive set of playful symbols.

The cover I think turned out really nice: I feel it really stood out on the shelves and caught people’s attention. Another exciting part of this project was creating small GIFs for the online lists, adding an animated touch to the illustrations.  It was really nice getting to work on so many different assets while keeping everything unified and engaging.
