RAUM DE STRAAT

Raum Utrecht is a cultural creative space in Utrecht, the Netherlands. It's a place where the community can come together, where they organise parties, music events, art expositions and lots more! For this event, the idea was that they would build a 'Street' at Raum. They asked another artist to build a big space where different groups in the neighbourhood can organise their own events and come together. So, every saturday in the summer, there were different themed 'streets' with differents things to do, like playing board games, a catwalk, jeu de boule, dancing, singing and sharing cultural foods. The first poster on this page is the 'combined' poster of all events, filled with different symbols for the events, and different characters dancing together. The posters below are all the alternate posters for the events after (10 in total!). For each one I changed the symbols on the poster & altered the color scheme. I made the poster 'modular' so I could change and swap the little streets to fit all the information needed. For this project I also created a colorful animation for adverts online. I think the idea of this event is super wonderful, and was glad to work on it.
