HARD HOOFD CHARACTERS

Hard Hoofd magazine asked me to make some editorial illustrations accompanying a poem in their magazine. It's a special art magazine, and since budget was low they gave me freedom to do anything illustration-wise. The poem was about queer desire at a young age and how it can manifest itself as jealousy, which the writer described as a 'black hole under her ribs' in the poem. She also wrote about wanting to be as blinding as the sun. I took those two sentences and made two characters, focusing on the 'transformation' aspect of the poem.
